About GUMBALL 3000

Gumball 3000 is a 3,000 mile, annual motor rally, with a different international route each year, which combines celebrities, music, fashion and entertainment.

It was founded by British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper in 1999, with a vision to create "the greatest bucket list experiences possible behind a wheel."

Our work

Gumball 3000 appointed our agency to promote the international motor rally’s 15th year, which saw its grand return to its birthplace, London.

And we handled the entire press office for the event, which saw 120 supercars driving 3,000 miles across two continents and five countries in seven days, via motor racing circuits, football stadiums and castles.

Regent Street was closed down for the spectacular event, which saw thousands of fans lining the street to watch. Stars including David Hasselhoff, Tinie Tempah, Dirty Sanchez star Matthew Pritchard, Xzibit, Eve and Deadmau5 took part and we assisted in securing additional celebrity Gumballers to join the rally, including Jonathan Ross and David Haye.

We were also tasked with promoting the launch of Gumball's energy drink as well as collections for the lifestyle brand's fashion line.

In addition, we looked after the PR for the Gumball Festival, which featured extreme sports demonstrations, live music, the Golden Square car displays and star-studded afterparty of the London leg, at another client we represented, Cirque Le Soir.

The campaign was a huge success, with thousands of pieces of global editorial, covering each leg of the rally, along with amazing photo and broadcast stories, interviews with Gumball founder Maximillion Cooper, celeb participants like David Hasselhoff and Jonathan Ross, features and news stories.

We closed the campaign with coverage including a Hello! magazine speacial, about founder Maximillion Cooper and rapper Eve completing the rally in separate cars and then ending it by getting married at the finishing line in Ibiza, after the couple met at the event in London.
