BEAUTY AND THE FEAST

Celebrity Chef Creates Health and Beauty Enhancing Menu at Acclaimed London and Kent Restaurants

Celebrity Chef Stuart Gillies will launch Beauty and the Feast this January at his London and Kent restaurants, for a delicious way to look and feel better after Christmas overindulgence.

Husband and wife team, Stuart and Cecilia Gillies - owners of the acclaimed Bank House, Chislehurst and Number Eight, Sevenoaks restaurants - have used their 40 years experience at the top of the hospitality world to create an eight course, beauty-enhancing menu, which will run at the two dining destinations throughout January.

It has been carefully designed to help heal and protect the body inside and out for the new year, while feeling just as indulgent as December’s food and drink binge.

Stuart was CEO of The Gordon Ramsay Group for seven years and before that, earned international acclaim as chef at Michelin-starred restaurants including Daniel in New York, Hotel Lord Byron in Rome and The Connaught alongside Angela Hartnett. He's also recognised for regular TV appearances on shows including Saturday Kitchen, Hell’s Kitchen and Great British Menu.

Using their extraordinary culinary experience, knowledge and the best, luxury artisan suppliers, Stuart and Cecilia have created a delicious, decadent and body-kind dining experience, with collagen-laced drinks, and inventive dishes which boost both immune system and metabolism and are rich in nutrients, vitamins, anti-inflammatories, anti-oxidants and blood purifiers.

Dishes include protein and vitamin-rich buckwheat blinis with oscietra caviar and sour cream, and the antiviral, antiseptic and antioxidant Garlic Roast Chicken with baby

spinach, pumpkin, shiitake, lentils and Japanese artichokes.

The Cornish mackerel fillet with soft boiled quail egg, watercress, green beans and sesame salad is loaded with vitamins A,B, C, plus Zinc and selenium, while the roasted ramero pepper, avocado and vine tomato salad with feta, black olives and pumpkin seed oil is rich in antioxidants, bioflavonoid, lycopene and omega 6 essential fatty acids.

Even the dessert - a Valrhona 70% chocolate and almond milk fondue with tropical fruits - is packed with free radical fighting antioxidants, flavonoids, anti-inflammatories and magnesium.

Guests will have the option of a £65 meat or vegan menu. Additionally, there will be alcohol-free drinks, featuring tipples like Kombucha and Green Tea, or carefully selected wines.

And each diner will receive a complimentary Beauty Box of skin, hair or cosmetics products.

The menu will be available throughout January at Bank House and Number Eight, Stuart and Cecilia's Modern European and traditional British dining destinations, centred around relaxed and accessible luxury.
